Our tribe, The Isle de Jean Charles Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw Indians, governing body is the Tribal Council and the Council of Elders. Tribal meetings are held frequently to gain Tribal input on the matters we deal with and the issues we face. We are constantly working with agencies, trained people, students and organizations that have the voice and power to help us bring about the necessary actions to preserve our people, our culture, our traditions, and our ancestral lands.
The Governing Body
The governing body of the Isle de Jean Charles Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw Indians is the Tribal Council, including the Chief, and the Council of Elders.
